Leticia Torres

Community Engagement Coordinator

Leticia Torres is a Community Engagement Coordinator at the California Marine Sanctuary Foundation leading outreach efforts for the Salinas Valley Multi-Benefit Land Repurposing Program (MLRP).

 

Leticia supports outreach to a broad and diverse range of communities and neighborhoods within the northern Salinas Valley promoting a comprehensive understanding of the MLRP program, land repurposing, and water management initiatives, as well as fostering inclusive participation to ensure that a shared community vision and values are integrated into MLRP projects.

 

Leticia has a diverse background in Technology, Design, and Entrepreneurship. She utilizes her skills and expertise in project management, relationship building, community engagement, and facilitating bilingual communication to guide the MLRP goals. 

 

Leticia holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from San Jose State University and is passionate about empowering underrepresented communities through education. Some of her favorite hobbies include spending time in nature hiking and painting.
